Empty Nest

We officially moved daughter #2 to Fayetteville yesterday, although in spirit she’s been gone the last couple of weeks.  It wasn’t as hard as I thought, but then I was so exhausted by the time we left I just wanted to sit  in my cooled down car.  We met two of her three roommates and I think they will get along well.  Boy, dorms have changed so much in ***ty years!  We also had four in a room (although not a “suite”), our own bath, and air conditioning but the similarities end there.  It’s a good thing they don’t have to pay their own electric bill.

This is the second week of retirement and first of empty nest.  I’m feeling reckless… maybe two hard lemonades tonight!
