One of the many advantages to having Quilt Market in Kansas City this year was being able to meet and rub elbows with the quilting rock stars. Shea, our KCMQG president, was able to talk Weeks Ringle into staying an extra couple of days so she could speak to us about her husband, Bill Kerr, and her design process.
Because she had them in her booth at Market, we were able to see, feel, and TOUCH a mountain of quilts.
It’s hard to decide which was the most beautiful.
It’s always inspiring to see and hear how someone who’s so respected in the quilt world practices the craft. Even among some of my closest quilting friends I sense my tastes are a bit “out there.” But here I felt right at home. And that’s pretty darn awesome!
