QuiltCon Submission

In my haste yesterday to finish my August Blocks’ post, I completely forgot about the block that took up the most time.  Here is my entry to the QuiltCon Challenge.

I was able to join a swap on flickr and received 32-5 x 10 inch swatches in the QuiltCon colors.  My inspiration came from Jacquie and Katie’s Fiesta Wall Quilt from Quilting Modern.  I cut my squares 1 1/4 inch instead of one inch.  I wish now I had made the main block smaller and the frame larger and more off centered.  Oh, well.

You can find all of KCMQG’s submissions on the blog here.

I have enough fabric left over for a stacked coin quilt for one baby boy.  I just love those colors!
